Note

Align the checkpoint sheet before you start

Many extra loops come from mismatched definitions, not from a shortage of charts.

Before writing a next-core briefing, align four items: metric definition, time window, owner, and record method. Putting those four items on one checkpoint sheet often reduces back-and-forth more than adding another metric. This note is educational. It is not investment advice and it does not guarantee a business result.

  • Write the definition before the number
  • Ask one question per checkpoint
  • Use the same proceed/hold language
  • Update the sheet instead of creating a side conversation
